Become a Camp Counselor
Our hiring season begins in early March.
Becoming a summer camp counselor requires a unique blend of passion, patience, and leadership. As a counselor, you'll serve as a mentor, role model, and friend to campers, guiding them through a variety of activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be building relationships with campers, fellow staff members, and parents alike. Flexibility and adaptability are also key, as each day at camp presents new challenges and opportunities. A positive attitude, enthusiasm for outdoor activities, and a genuine love for working with children are fundamental qualities that make for a successful camp counselor. Most importantly, being a counselor is about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where campers can grow, learn, and have fun while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
