Panoramic view of Rowland Hall campus during autumn in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by vibrant fall foliage.

SummerWorks is ideally situated in the Salt Lake Valley. We enjoy slightly cooler temperatures than the rest of the valley and we are right across the street from our favorite spot to cool off, the Salt Lake City Sports Complex. Older campers might also walk to Sunnyside Park, the University of Utah, and the TRAX station for specific activities. Within a five-minute drive are other area favorites, such as Liberty Park, the Natural History Museum of Utah, Wasatch Community GardensRed Butte Garden, and Hogle Zoo, just to name a few. We take advantage of the many great destinations close to our campus.

We use much of Rowland Hall's indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the summer. Each den (a small group of campers and their counselor) is home base for campers' belongings, rest and reading time, and activity preparation. Dens for Cubs are located in the Beginning School, and dens for Leos are in the Lower School. Our on-campus activities utilize indoor spaces such as the dining hall, kitchen, art room, little gym, and field house.
