4 - 7 Year Old Program

Our youngest campers are encouraged to explore the world around them through hands-on activities in the areas of outdoor adventure, the arts and cultures, and physical activity.  Additionally, 4 through 7 year olds go on weekly adventures to area museums, parks, and events, as well as participate in morning swimming lessons (at Steiner Aquatic Center) and an afternoon of play swim at area aquatic centers.  Staff members for the 4 through 7 year olds are trained in early childhood development and seek to foster a sense of caring, safety, and personal growth in their campers.

What to Bring

image3Please help your camper understand that he or she is responsible for everything they bring to camp.  Labeling all belongings will help us make sure everything makes it home safely.  Most importantly, please only bring items that are important for camp…extra stuff is likely to get lost or ruined. Our 4 through 7 year olds should always have:

  • Nutritious lunch & drink, preferably with compostable items: we compost our lunch waste!
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat labeled with name
  • Backpack labeled with name
  • Swim suit labeled with name
  • Towel labeled with name
  • Securely fitting shoes (sneakers preferably)

Do not bring:

  • Cell phones, iPods, or other electronics
  • Personal toys (they will become shared toys!)
  • Candy, soda, gum, or other non-nutritious food
  • Water toys
