Location

The McCarthey Campus of Rowland Hall is a beautiful and spacious educational village with art and music facilities, performance spaces, playing fields, gymnasiums, and plenty of space to explore and find quiet time. It is situated just south of the University of Utah and is directly across the street from the Salt Lake Sports Complex and Steiner Aquatic Center. SummerWorks programming takes advantage of our proximity to downtown, nearby parks, gardens, trails, zoo, arts centers, and museums.

Sessions

SummerWorks sessions run on half-day (9am-12:30pm & 12:30pm-4pm) and full-day (9am-4pm) schedules during the following weeks:

• Week 2 (June 21-25) - Globe Trotters (people & places around the world)
• Week 3 (June 28-July 2) - Carnival Days!
• Week 4 (July 6-9)* - Who Dunnit? (mystery & magic)
• Week 5 (July 12-16) - Dirt Week (earth/eco week)
• Week 6 (July 19-22)* - The Final Frontier
• Week 7 (July 26-30) - Gizmos & Gadgets (science & inquiry)
• Week 8 (August 2-6) - Get Lost! (adventure/team-building)
• Week 9 (August 9-13) - Dancing with the SummerWorks Stars!

*No camp July 5 and July 23 (discounted weeks)

Extended Care

SummerWorks offers extended care for one hour before the start of camp (8 am-9 am) for $7.75 per day or $35.00 for the entire week.

Afternoon extended care is also available from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm for $11.50 per day or $55.00 for the entire week. An additional $1.00 per minute fee is charged for each minute the camper remains past 5:30 pm.  Fees accrued during the camp week will be charged to the credit card on file on the Friday of the session.

Registration Fees & Deadlines

Parents may register online for camps until the day of camp, though we encourage early registration to secure your reserved space in camps. You may also receive a discount for your pre-May 15 registration.  If you are registering your camper(s) for 8 - 9 weeks of camp, you are eligible for the discounted rate (approximately $20/week off).
